Integration Of Docker Logs

Overview

Docker is a tool designed to make it easier to create, deploy, and run applications by using containers . It’s main function is  to deploy application to production environment. Using docker container developers can package all the dependencies ,libraries,binaries,settings and other modules & distribute all of  them as a single unmodified package. The two main terminologies associated with docker are image & container.

Pre Requisites:

• We need to install OTM-scanner software into the APE server.

• In the license container security enable should be enable.

Installation Steps

Please follow the steps below to install the OTM-scanner software into the APE server.

Step 1. Login on PUTTY as a “seceon” user, ensure the path is “/home/seceon” (cross-verify by “pwd” command) and download the package with the cmd: wget -c <otm-scanner>.

Step 2. Please check the authenticity and integrity of the shared package by verifying the md5sum by “ md5sum <downloaded seceon cce link >” and entering.

Step 3. To ensure that the installation should continue, even if the system shut down anyways. Run the command “ screen” and enter.

Step 4. Untar the package using tar -xvzf <..tarred otm-scanner file..>

Step 5. Run the list command “ ls -ltr” to just cross verify that package is available in /home/seceon folder,

once package availability is verified run step no. 5.

Step 6. Change the directory to run the package by command

cd <..untarred otm-scanner file..>

Go in the screen before running command

Step 7. Run the command for upgrade,

./setup.sh -a

Step 8. It will ask you put the CCE IP, provide the details of the CCE IP for which you want to monitor docker logs.

Verification

You can verify it by login on Seceon UI console.
