Steps to configure r-syslog on remote server (CCE)

Overview

This document will help you step to configure r-syslog on the remote server (CCE)

Steps

If an error is - UDP listener died for port 514, then do the following1. Login/Switch to the root

  • 2. vim /etc/rsyslog.conf
  • 3. comment out the following lines:
  • #$ModLoad imudp
  • #$UDPServerRun 514
  • 4. save and exit the file
  • 5. systemctl restart rsyslog
  • Restart rsyslog daemon using command “service rsyslog restart”
