Overview
OVA Development
Pre-Requisite
Download the CCE-OVA package in on your local laptop.
Keep the network details, IP address, Gateway, and netmask, ready with you to be allotted to the VM.
Keep the APE IP, and SSH Port available with you, for CCE reprovisioning.
OVA Deployment Steps
Step1Step 1:
OVA is deployed using VMware vSphere Client.
Step2:
Download ova from the dropbox link provides by seceon
Step3Step 3:
In vSphere Client, go to File > Deploy OVF Template and browse to the current location of the ova.
Step 4:
Press Next and give the new VM a name.
Step6Step 6:
Choose an appropriate datastore data store for the VM having sufficient space.
Step7Step 7:
Select Thin Provision disk format for the virtual disk.
Step8Step 8:
Select Power on after deployment checkbox.
Step9Step 9:
Finish to deploy deploying the VM.
Step10Step 10:
Once VM is up and running, open the vm VM with putty.
Step11:
Login as : username-root, password-seceonsection.

On the first login, you will be forced to change the password. Make sure to keep the password safe with you.

Change the network settings using the these steps as in: How to change the IP of machine

Now, login to the VM as a “seceon” user, and get inside the seceon cce package.
Step15:
From inside the CCE package, run ./setup.sh -p
Step16:
Step14, will ask you for user inputs, to confirm if you want to change the configuration, say yes

Choose the SSH Tunnel option to be changed, and enter your APE IP and tenant ID. With that confirm the inputs, and await the reprovisioning to get over. It may take around 5-7 minutes.

With all of it in place, check in the UI(opened with the APE IP), under System menu> Log/Flow Collection Status, and ensure that the CCE VM IP is being reflected.
